About Sildefestival 2027
Sildefestivalen in Hvide Sande was first held in 1995 and is built around the distinctive spring tradition of herring passing through the drainage lock towards Ringkøbing Fjord. The festival combines fishing competitions with local fish dishes, herring smoking, music, family activities and volunteer community around Fiskeriets Hus and the lock. The 2027 edition takes place from 23 to 25 April.
